OEM Private-Label Sportswear: Checklist for Your First Bulk Order

A practical checklist for gym brands and e-commerce sellers ordering custom sportswear with their own labels.

Start with vector logos, Pantone or well-lit reference swatches for colours, and a size chart that matches your end customer. Ambiguity here always costs more in remakes than in extra preparation.

Decide early between sublimation forward, cut-and-sew panels, or hybrid decoration. Each path has different timelines: sublimation-heavy kits often move faster once colours are locked than heavily embroidered leisure pieces.

Reserve budget and calendar space for a physical approval sample. Digital mockups cannot show seam tension, neck bind feel, or how flock sits on mesh.

Plan packaging early: polybags, size stickers, and hang tags are cheap at volume but awkward to add after cartons are sealed. Your factory should quote these as line items, not surprises.
